Sam pierpoint is an Artist from southampton, specializing in 2D and 3D paper art, illustration and graphic design. Above is her piece, “Land Before Time” i admired her work and have used it as an artist reference in my space project, because of my use of paper manipulation and illustrative skills within it. I love her use of colour and technique and her pieces are breathtaking. Her clients include Nokia, Paperchase, Southampton City Council and Birmingham Hippodrome. She creates her pieces by hand and then photographs them and creates the final composition in photoshop.
below are some of my favorite pieces of her work, and also i took the opportunity to email her asking if i could shadow her for a day or so as part of Work Based Learning, and she replied! She said, as you can see below , would i like to volunteer on her latest project, it takes place in a month or so and she is due to email me with the details 🙂 below are the emails also.
Thanks for getting in touch and thanks so much for the kind words too!
Am actually going to be working on a new project soon where I’ll be making a paper dress which will be worn in a photo shoot. I’m looking for volunteers to help me make the dress so definitely let me know if you are interested it would be lovely to meet you!
I’m not sure when it would be but hopefully within the next few months.
Let me know what you think,
